I took my girls to the American Liberty Festival - American Revolution reenactment and I have to tell you that hearing George Washington speak was extremely moving.
I totally fell into the experience and being able to ask him what he would think of what is going on now was like going to your father for advice.
I almost cried when it was over - I truly wish we had a George Washington to lead us now- we need him more than ever.
I can see how he had such a loyal following. I wish we had politicians that wanted to contribute to their country like he did, instead of seeing what they can get from it. :(

From an educational assembly...
We were honored by an appearance of General George Washington on Monday March 21st at the State Capitol for a Homeschool Rally sponsored by Arizona Families for Home Education, the statewide homeschool organization.
"George" was asked at the last minute to address the crowd of over 200 homeschooling parents and children. He rose to the challenge and encouraged us all with his impromptu speech. This gentleman has a natural ability in public speaking. We were very pleased and inspired by what he shared with those in attendance at the Capitol.
This gentleman who portrays Washington is a person who values family and honor. We feel privileged to be acquainted with this noble, humble man with a vision for unity and appreciation for the rich history we have as a nation. He is an inspiration to those he encounters.

Solano Preparatory School’s Second and Third grades thoroughly enjoyed
having General George Washington and the Colonial Ladies visit. His
presentation was perfect and fit into our Social Studies curriculum. He
related his life so well to the children’s lives of today. They provided
hands on experiences for the children teaching them everything about the
time period from clothing to chocolate. It was an amazing experience and we
look forward to them coming again next year!
